California Auto Insurance
California Proposition 213 changed the law for California Auto Insurance coverage. This law is often called the “No Pay, No Play” law which means that if you are driving a car in California that does not have auto insurance, you will not be able to collect damages for pain and suffering resulting from an auto accident, even if you were not at fault.
If you are involved in an accident, under the new California Auto Insurance law, you will not be able to pursue a claim to recover damages for your pain and suffering. If the other driver is at fault, you may be able to collect for medical bills and lost wages, but not for pain and suffering.
